Which browsers work?
BabaVoices uses the browser's built-in speech recognition, which is in Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Safari on desktop, Chrome on Android, and every browser on iPhone and iPad. Firefox doesn't have it yet: there, the Reader works, and dictation asks you to open Chrome or Edge.
Is dictation really free?
Yes. Dictating and copying are free and never stop. The free plan includes 10 polishes a day (25 when you sign in, plus 10 for each short video you choose to watch, up to 3 a day) and shows small ads after a result; paid plans remove the daily limit and the ads.
Can I install it on my phone?
Yes. Open the app, then use your browser's "Add to Home screen" (or "Install app") to get an icon that opens it like an app.
Where does my voice go?
Speech-to-text is handled by your browser's speech service (in Chrome, that's Google's; on Apple devices, Apple's). We never receive your audio. When you use Polish, the text, not the audio, goes through our server to Anthropic's Claude AI to clean it up; it isn't used for training and we don't keep it. Your history stays in your browser, and syncs to your account only if you sign in.
What does Polish change?
It removes filler words, stutters and repeated words, fixes punctuation, capitalization and grammar, and tightens rambling sentences. It keeps your meaning and tone and doesn't add anything new. You can undo it with one tap.
Do I need an account?
No account is needed for the free plan. Just open the app and start talking. Sign in with your email (no password) to get more polishes, sync your history and settings, and upgrade.
